Top the FBI. How Would YOU Catch a Chinese Industrial Spy?

The standard MO seems to be to lure the target to Europe or some country we're friendly with. In this case, the honeypot, the Chinese GE engineer who was lured to China to meet his handler, was confronted by the FBI and agreed to turn double and worked with the FBI to lure Xu, his handler to Europe. "I'm too busy right now and they want me to travel to Europe." did the trick. If he had said to come to the US, it would have been a giveaway.

They had to use the third country route to get that Russian arms dealer they eventually traded for the basketball player stuck in a Russian jail on a cannabis charge I believe.

Sadly, for Xu, not ensuring that his info was accessible only by him turned his organization and attention to detail against him. 😊

Thoughts

Agitated [Feeling agitated in the past couple days.
Feeling like I am abandoned by the whole world. Work, relationships. and money are not going in the right direction.
Starting with work. I have been with ZHA for more than a decade, but ZHA has turned hostile on me and ZHA is now tight with TENG.
What a joke. I think, my relationship with him will never be the same again. We will be using each other to our own ends. I will not help him
anymore. It’s whatever now. Have a leader like this, what’s the point?
Talking about relationship, <> a does not even bother to talk to me. she wouldn‘t even return my text messages. Break up is real. if people
don‘t talk about relationship, then what to talk about? She wouldn't even initiate a conversation with me. We will not be the same as we were.
Lastly. talk about investment. I lost so much in the stock market I got myself into this financial hole. 1 did it to myself.
Sigh, not going to talk about these anymore. Feeling so bad
When is the end?]

Heard from CNN today that: l. ZHA prepared to arrange TENG and the girl from Pingtai to go out 2. ZHA prepared to participate in the
technology work I had no idea of the above mentioned things. Ridiculous. Promised with CHAI that we would not participate. We would just
watch what’s going to happen.

NASA : The Ten Rules that Guide You in Writing Space-Grade Software

Authored by the developer of the SPIN model checker, Gerald Holzmann

#

Rule of

Description

1

Ten

Aim for no more than 10 modules in a software system. This rule emphasizes the importance of keeping software systems modular and manageable.

2

Call Tree

Aim for no more than 10 levels in the call tree. The call tree represents the hierarchical structure of function calls in a software system. This rule suggests limiting the depth of the call tree to ensure code clarity and maintainability.

3

Decentralization

Aim for no more than 10 tasks per software system. This rule advocates for breaking down complex systems into smaller, manageable tasks to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of errors.

4

Data Coupling

Aim for no more than 10 data structures. Data coupling refers to the interdependencies between different data structures. This rule encourages limiting the number of data structures to simplify the software and minimize potential issues.

5

Control Coupling

Aim for no more than 10 control coupling connections. Control coupling refers to the interdependencies between different control flows in a software system. This rule promotes minimizing control coupling to enhance code readability and maintainability.

6

Global Data

Aim for no more than 10 global data structures. Global data refers to data that can be accessed by multiple modules or functions. This rule suggests limiting the use of global data to reduce complexity and potential conflicts.

7

Portability

Aim for a minimum of 10 compilers and hosts. This rule encourages designing software systems that are portable and can be compiled and run on multiple platforms and architectures.

8

Bounds

Aim to minimize loops with bounds greater than 10. Loops with large bounds can increase the risk of errors and performance issues. This rule advises minimizing loops with high bounds to improve efficiency and reduce potential problems.

9

Asserts

Aim for no more than 10 assertions per module. Assertions are statements that validate certain conditions in code. This rule suggests limiting the number of assertions to maintain code clarity and avoid excessive complexity.

10

Paths

Aim for a maximum of 10 paths through a software system. The number of paths through a software system refers to the various execution routes that can be taken. This rule encourages keeping the number of paths manageable to simplify testing and reduce potential issues.

How You Can Boost Trading Success Using Van K. Tharp's Position Sizing Game

Warning : Traditional Windows Install required 😊

In the words of the master himself :

I've designed The Position Sizing™ Game to help you learn the secrets to trading success before you play the markets. This game does not simulate picking stocks in the market.  Instead, it simulates trading a system that has certain characteristics.  The system takes care of the ‘stock picking’ for you so that you can focus entirely on the most important aspects of trading-position sizing and letting your profits run. Our game has ten levels that get progressively more difficult to master. However, once you've mastered these principles, you'll know you've mastered some of the skills to trading success. (Levels 1-3 are free).

To complete this game, you must master four key principles: (1) understanding the importance of R-multiples; (2) understanding the difference between expectancy and probability; (3) learning how to let profits run without letting them escape; and (4) using position sizing to make sure you have a low-risk trade.  The Position Sizing™ Game is designed to drive these principles home by giving you the experience of making (or losing) money in a game environment where losing is safer.  Through this game, you’ll begin to understand these principles experientially without having real money at stake.

Ian Bremmer : The Next Global Superpower Isn't Who You Think | TED

OK, YouTube still has the edge - TED only lets you speed up to 1.5x 😊 YouTube gets you to 2x. And this one has plenty of padding anyways..

The next global superpower isn't going to be the US or China or the EU - it's going to be the massive tech companies. Think about it he says - if it weren't for Starlink (doesn't name it), Ukraine wouldn't be able to defend itself. President Z wouldn't be around anymore.

America used to be the top exporter of democracy, but now it's the top exporter of tools that can be used to destroy democracy. (Really? What about the CIA collaborating with Pinochet's folks back in the 70's. Has this guy not heard of the Human Resource Exploitation Manual that they gave the Chileans?)
